Bodegas Protos is an emblem of the Ribera del Duero. Founded in 1927 by a small group of winegrowers united in a cooperative, the firm has to its credit being the pioneer of the DO and one of the most prestigious in Spanish wine, both within and outside our borders.

In the same way, Protos Reserva 2013 is one of the most recent vintages of one of its classic references. Made from red grapes from the country (tempranillo) from vineyards over 50 years old.

It is aged for 18 months, highlighted by the use of different types of oak barrels (50% new French, 30% one-year French and 20% one-year American), which provided a unique wealth of nuances.

However, it is perfect to accompany a wide variety of gastronomic proposals such as duck breast, lamb stew, beef cheeks, pork chops, Bolognese noodles, black beans with rice, cured cheeses or a good Castilian soup.
