Enjoy Ramón Bilbao Viñedos de Altura is "a unique wine with its own style", made with grapes fermented by hand in wooden vats at controlled temperatures.
Ramón Bilbao Limited Edition Crianza is a red wine from the DO Rioja produced by Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, a winery founded in 1924 by Mr. Ramón Bilbao Murga. However, Don Ramón was already producing and selling his wines around 1896 in a small winery on Las Cuevas street in Haro, a town with one of the largest concentrations of wineries in the world.
The winery is located on the outskirts of Haro, one of the most privileged wine regions for growing grapes. The climate in this area is moderate continental, marked by a Cantabrian influence. Rainfall is recorded throughout the year. This wine is a monovarietal Tempranillo wine from 75 hectares of vineyards located in the Rioja Alta, near the Ebro river.
The vineyards were planted on heterogeneous, shallow and well-drained soils, with a water deficit at key moments. As for the production, after the selection of the best bunches, the grapes are fermented by hand in wooden vats at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels from Allier and American from Virginia and a further 10 months in the bottle. We recommend decanting it at least one hour before serving.
